Background

Rob Templeman joined Galois in 2026 after a career spanning military service, government engineering, academia, and industry. His work centers on developing high-assurance systems and solving complex problems that sit at the intersection of technology, policy, and law.

He later served as Executive Director for Cyber Innovation at Indiana University, leading collaborative efforts across the university’s campuses, schools, and research centers and serving as principal investigator for U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army projects focused on critical infrastructure. Most recently, he managed a team of formal methods principal scientists at the Leidos Innovations Center.

Rob received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, an M.S. in Engineering Management from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University.

He loves working with teams across government, industry, and academia to tackle difficult problems at the intersection of technology and policy. Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, exploring the outdoors, and following motorsports.
