Network-based collaboration is taking on many forms and is evolving rapidly. As government agencies and businesses transition away from an information "need-to-know" to "need-to-share" model, the need for collaboration tools that offer cutting-edge features without sacrificing security concerns grows stronger. Traditional approaches such as data files, text documents, and Common Operating Picture (COP) views are being replaced with modern approaches like Wikis, RSS, blogs and mash-ups.

Multi-level Wiki

Developed to meet the Navy’s post-911 need for secure information-sharing, Multi-level Wiki offers a valuable new way for users to collaborate across security domains spanning up to three clearance levels (Confidential/Secret/Top Secret). This software application merges related content from multiple sources and distinct sensitivity levels onto a single, user-editable web document. ML Wiki was developed in conjunction with multiple military and intelligence agencies and has undergone successful testing with end-users.
